RSMD Aesthetics Training is the premier training program designed by Dr. Rebecca Small. Ten years ago Dr. Small was teaching, lecturing and running her own private practice.  As she continued to get requests for her time and expertise, she was approached by Wolters Kluwer publishing who suggested she write a textbook…She ended up writing 6 textbooks.

Fast forward 10 years and add in the demand for increased access to Dr. Small and her signature procedures and teaching methods, and Dr. Small was again asked to write.  In December of 2023, her second edition of Small’s Practical Guide to Botulinum Toxin Procedures was published.

During the last 15 years, the demand for medical aesthetic training from Dr. Small has expanded.  The desire to learn her techniques, procedures and training has increased.  RSMD Aesthetics Training in the natural progression in her teaching and mentoring, providing international access to Dr. Small and meeting the needs of her students.

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive, practical, and innovative curriculum that equips healthcare professionals with the skills and confidence to excel in the field of medical aesthetic. RSMD Aesthetics Training program is designed to address the specific challenges and needs of healthcare professionals looking to transition to a new area of medicine or excel in master level injectable procedures. We do this by providing comprehensive procedural guidance with ongoing support and mentorship to facilitate providers’ ongoing development and success.

About Dr. Rebecca Small

Dr. Small is a Harvard Medical School graduate and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, teaching nonsurgical outpatient medical aesthetic procedures to both the UCSF Plastic Surgery and Family Medicine residents. She is not only a respected clinical professor but also a leading authority in injectable procedures. She co-developed and teaches the nonsurgical outpatient aesthetic curriculum for the UCSF School of Medicine’s Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Core Surgical Curriculum (PRSCSC). Her renowned medical aesthetics textbook series serves as the foundation for this innovative 2-year curriculum required for all UCSF Plastic Surgery residents.
